Showcasing Early Career Researchers Awards are presented annually by the Cooperative Research Centres Association. Here are the winners and presenters at the Keeping ahead of the curve conference in Brisbane in 2011.

Dr Elena Toh from the Oral Health CRC was the Showcasing Early Career Researchers winner in the Research Presentation category (10 minute presentation)

Elena’s presentation was on her research into the ability of cow’s milk to fight gum disease.

Ms Parama Banerjee from the CAST CRC was the Showcasing Early Career Researchers winner in the Three Minute Thesis category.

Parama’s presentation was on her research into the prevention of corrosion in the gear box of Navy helicopters.
